Dr. Smith was an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado from 2001 until July of 2007, when she left to join Colorado Reproductive Endocrinology. Prior to that, she was an Associate Professor at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center for 5 years. Dr. Smith got her M.D. from New York Medical College and did her residency in OB/GYN at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford Connecticut. From there, she did both a research fellowship and then a reproductive endocrinology fellowship at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Smith is board certified in both Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology. She holds a certification as an advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeon from the AAGL. She has published numerous articles and lectures extensively on reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
